As is usually the case with deals, these tickets will be for the carrier’s most restrictive class, likely known as basic economy. For Hawaiian Airlines specifically, the Main Cabin Basic fare is nonrefundable and it doesn’t include ticket changes or seat selection. However, some basic economy fares, including this one, allow for one free full-size carry-on item.

If you choose to fly another carrier, note that American, Delta and Alaska basic economy fares permit travelers a full-size carry-on item, but United does not. Checked bags on all airlines cost between $30 and $35 each way.
